Support Marrow Donation at Work
Every year, patients in Singapore and around the world depend on unrelated bone marrow donors for a second chance at life. Yet according to our 2024 National Survey, 41% of respondents were unsure if their employers would support them if they were called to donate. This uncertainty could mean the difference between life and loss, when many hesitated to sign up as a potential donor due to the lack of assurance on workplace support.

That’s why we launch the Corporate Partner Programme, to unite workplaces in supporting employees who step forward to save lives and encourage companies and institutions to be active enablers of life-saving acts by opening doors for donor recruitment.

Why Workplace Support Matters
Marrow donation is a selfless act, but it requires time away from work for medical appointments and the donation itself. While BMDP covers all medical costs, having an employer who offers time-off or volunteer leave ensures donors can commit without worrying about their jobs. When employees feel that they are backed by their organisations, they are also more likely to take initiative and sign up as a potential donor.

Partner With Us

As a Corporate Partner, your organisation can be an active enabler in two ways:

  1. Open Doors for Donor Recruitment - Host BMDP outreach sessions to educate and inspire your employees to sign up as potential donors.
  2. Support Employees Who Donate - Stand behind staff who are matched to a patient. Offer peace of mind through volunteer leave, flexibility or workplace recognition.

Every form of support matters - whether you champion the cause publicly or stand quietly behind your employees who choose to save lives. Together, we can make every workplace a place where hope begins and lives are saved.
